MIRO Sound & Vision (米乐影音) is one of China's leading bespoke home cinema integrators. Having already partnered with Trinnov to stage one of the first public WaveForming demonstrations in China, at the Guangzhou HiFi Show, built around a Procella Audio speaker system, the MIRO team were well placed to bring that experience into a permanent private installation.
The result is China's first Waveforming Superior Theater: a dedicated screening room built entirely around Procella Audio loudspeakers, recognised as a CEDIA Smart Home Awards 2025 Finalist in Best Home Cinema.
The brief demanded a reference-class private cinema capable of delivering full Dolby Atmos immersion alongside the consistent, room-wide bass performance that WaveForming makes possible. Achieving that in a residential space required a speaker system with the SPL headroom, tonal accuracy, and DSP integration to work seamlessly across a complex multi-channel layout, from LCR through to height channels and a precisely placed subwoofer array.
Procella Audio was specified throughout, covering every layer of the system. The P880 handles LCR duties at the front stage, delivering the clarity and dynamic authority that dialogue, music, and cinematic sound design demand. Eight P8ICW units cover the surround layer, while six P8 speakers extend the soundfield into the height channels for full Atmos immersion. The low-frequency foundation is built on six Procella V21 subwoofers, flanked by two P28 units for front bass extension, all driven and controlled by 13 Procella DA08-DSP amplifiers.
It is the subwoofer array, combined with the Trinnov Altitude32-1632 processor running WaveForming, that defines the system's character. Each V21 operates with per-unit timing and phase alignment, placed to Trinnov's recommended guidelines to create a planar bass wave that is consistent across every seat. The result is bass that is not just powerful but uniform and detailed, the kind of low-frequency performance that has previously been the preserve of commercial facilities.
The full channel configuration runs to 13.8.10, with Procella speakers covering every position in the array.
The completed theater stands as a landmark for residential cinema in China. The Procella system delivers a seamless, enveloping soundstage, from the authority of the P880 front stage to the spatial precision of the P8 height array, while the V21 subwoofer system, unlocked by WaveForming, brings a physical consistency to the low end that transforms the experience for every listener in the room.
Its recognition as a CEDIA 2025 Finalist in Best Home Cinema reflects what those who have heard the system already know: that a carefully specified, fully integrated Procella installation, deployed at this level, sets a new reference point for what private cinema can achieve.
